Privacy Notice

How URCHLISA collects, uses and protects the information you give us, written in plain English under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

Who we are

This website is run by URCHLISA LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales and based in Ely, Cambridgeshire. We are the "controller" of the personal information described here. You can contact us about privacy at info@urchlisa.com or on 07423 129297.

What we collect

  • Enquiry and quote details: your name, company (if any), email address, phone number, preferred way to reply, the town or postcode of the premises, and the details you give about the property and the cleaning you need.
  • Photos you choose to attach to a quote request. Please avoid photos that show people or personal documents.
  • Messages you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
  • Technical information: the time of your enquiry and the page you sent it from. If, and only if, you accept analytics cookies, we also collect anonymous usage statistics (see our Cookie Policy).

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
  • To provide the cleaning service if you go ahead. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
  • To keep business and accounting records. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
  • Website analytics, only if you accept them. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time from "Cookie settings" in the footer.

We do not sell your information, we do not use it for unrelated marketing, and we do not make automated decisions about you.

Who processes it for us

Our website forms send your details to our own Google account. Google (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC) acts as our processor: enquiries are stored in a private Google Sheet, photos in a private Google Drive folder, and emails are sent through Google. Only URCHLISA can open them. Our website host serves the pages, and Google Fonts supplies the typefaces, which means your browser connects to Google's servers when a page loads.

Where it is stored

Google may store and process data in the UK, the European Economic Area and the United States. Where data leaves the UK, Google relies on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and the UK–US data bridge.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become customers: 24 months from the enquiry, then deleted together with any photos.
  • Customers: for as long as we provide the service, then for up to six years for accounting and legal purposes.
  • Backups of our records are overwritten on a rolling basis.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email info@urchlisa.com and we will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.

Changes

We will update this notice if the way we use information changes. Last updated October 2026.
